Home Rentals

Rental opportunities at Earthaven are arranged privately between you and the host. Spaces for rent may range from a tent to a room, apartment, or house. Leases may be long-term or short-term.

Living in the ecovillage is a perfect way to explore possible membership. If no rentals are available, try a live-and-work arrangement or a class or event. Classes and events allow you to make connections to learn about potentail rentals before thay are listed.

Renters are part of Earthaven’s New Roots program, which includes fees, orientations, regular check-ins, and other activities for support and accountability.

Earthaven is a working, building, living environment. Your experience may include physical labor as well as administrative contributions, educational opportunities, and social connections. If you are interested in one of these opportunities, please contact the host directly.

Furnished Home in Serene Wooded Setting

Available now. Post and beam construction. 8” thick walls and ceiling, extremely well insulated. Two bedrooms, greenhouse, thermopane glass windows and doors. Not currently available. This private one-room apartment is part of a three-story wooden-framed, earthen home that serves as a co-housing and co-working space. Solar power, wood heated, wooden floors, mini-fridge, wifi, landline, in suite sink with spring-fed water. The shared kitchen and bath house is separate from the apartment and is a separate cost.

Currently occupied; check back for availability. “Rent to own” option is available for those who have visited Earthaven, are joining the Earthaven membership track, and have completed the Hut Hamlet questionnaire process. 300 square foot hexagon with loft (450 square feet total). Additional, separate shared bathhouse and kitchen usage has minimal charge and protocols.

Rooms for Rent at Medicine Wheel Collective

We are not taking any new applications at this time. Medicine Wheel is particularly open to people who have an interest in joining Earthaven, and who are committed to a vision of collective, permaculture-based living. Rent includes private room, shared telephone. Shared spaces include family rooms, office, kitchen, gardens, showers and toilet facilities. Security deposit equal to one month rent.

Large equipped kitchen and living/event space, oak floors, zero-emittance rocked fireplace, Hydro-electrics, Bosch on-demand hot water, clawfoot tub, compost toilet, bedroom/s open spaced to partition. Fire circle, garden/ag-land, fruit/nuts, trout pond, woods, creek running through 11.89 acre parcel. Space for additional structures. Trading Post has additional 360 sf + loft for variety of uses.
